6 May 2021 – Alaina Atnip was recently selected as Haughton High School’s jJROTC Corps Commander.  As Corps Commander, Alaina was selected over 5 other students for this prestigious position and in this position, she will be the highest-ranking officer in her JrROTC program.  The requirements for selection to serve as Corps Commander are amazing leadership abilities and the ability to set the example for all cadets.  The mission of the JrROTC program is to provide a quality citizenship, character, and leadership development program, while fostering enduring partnerships and relationships with high schools, educational institutions, and communities that help meet our citizen development mission.
